Agrimonia

Agrimonia is a hardcore metal group from Gothenburg, Sweden, active since 2005. The band is a quintet and draws on sludge, crust, black metal, post-metal and doom metal, combining harsh vocals, keyboards, blast beats, simple grooves and layered soundscapes in its music.

The group has four full-length releases: Agrimonia (2008), Host of the Winged (2010), Rites of Separation (2013) and Awaken (2018).

Style

Agrimonia’s sound is rooted in the overlap between hardcore metal and slower, heavier forms of extreme music, with songs that move through tempo changes, quieter passages and occasional piano. Its material is noted for long, sweeping compositions and for combining metallic and non-metal elements.
