Adriana Spina is a singer-songwriter associated with alt-country and americana, and her music is also described as having a strong independent Scottish folk-pop edge. She performs with a four-piece band and is based in the Scottish independent music scene.

Career

Spina makes her debut performance at Celtic Connections in 2010, appearing in support of Horse. Her live shows are noted for catchy, heartfelt songs and for leaving a strong impression. She also plays dates across the UK and performs in the USA and Italy.

Festival appearances and support slots

She sells out her 2009 run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. In summer 2008, she is handpicked to support Sheryl Crow at the American artist’s only UK headline date of that tour.

Spina performs with a number of other artists, including Paolo Nutini, Oh Susanna!, Boo Hewerdine, Eddi Reader, Kim Richey, Dar Williams and Ryan Bingham.

Recording

Her debut album, Coming Home, is recorded at Park Lane Studios in Glasgow. She is associated with the label Ragged Road.
