Adam Franklin

Adam Franklin is a guitarist, singer and songwriter from Essex, United Kingdom, born in 1968. He is known for work in indie rock, rock, alternative and dream pop settings, and he plays in Swervedriver and Toshack Highway.

Career

Franklin plays guitar and sings in Swervedriver, where he is active from 1989 to 1999 and again from 2007 onwards. He also plays in Toshack Highway, and previously performs with Shake Appeal from 1984 to 1989.

Alongside his band work, he records under his own name and tours with a live band called Bolts of Melody. His first solo album, Bolts of Melody, appears under his own name, followed by Spent Bullets and then I Could Sleep For A Thousand Years.

Collaborations and other projects

Franklin also sings and plays guitar in Magnetic Morning, a collaboration with Sam Fogarino of Interpol. The project releases its debut album A.M.. He is also part of the Sophia collective and continues to tour with Sophia.
