Adam Buxton

Adam Buxton is a British comedian from London and Norwich. He works with Joe Cornish as the comedy duo Adam & Joe, and the pair write and present the Channel 4 series The Adam and Joe Show. Buxton is also associated with radio work, including appearances connected with BBC 6 Music.

Career

He first appears on Channel 4’s Takeover TV in a role billed as Louise, dressed as a Klingon and complaining about Star Trek: The Next Generation being removed from television. He later hosts the programme in 1995. He also appears in The IT Crowd episode 1.5 and in the BBC comedy series Time Trumpet.

Buxton co-writes and acts in the Channel 4 mini-series The Last Chancers, and he performs character-based stand-up at the Edinburgh Festival under the title I, Pavel. He also appears in the Doctor Who audio drama The One Doctor from Big Finish Productions.

Background

Buxton is born in 1969. He is the son of Nigel Buxton, who is a travel writer and wine critic. He is also known for wearing a distinctive sailor hat.
