ACV

ACV is a jazz quintet led by bassist and composer Andy Champion. The group forms in October 2009 and is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.

Line-up

The band includes Andy Champion on double bass, Graeme Wilson on tenor and baritone saxophone, Paul Edis on keyboards, Mark Williams on guitar and Adrian Tilbrook on drums.

Style and influences

ACV works across jazz, fusion, progressive jazz and modern jazz, with influences that include jazz, progressive rock, metal and free improvisation.

Activity

The group performs at venues and festivals across the UK, including The Vortex in London and the Sage Gateshead International Jazz Festival. It also features on BBC’s Jazz On 3 and UK Jazz Radio.
