Act of Defiance
Act of Defiance is a thrash metal group from Los Angeles, active since 2014. It is a US extreme metal supergroup made up of Matthew Bachand, Chris Broderick and Shawn Drover.
The band is formed by Broderick and Drover, both former Megadeth members. Its line-up also includes Bachand. Act of Defiance works within thrash metal and is also associated with heavy metal and groove metal.
The group’s debut album, The Birth and the Burial, is released through Metal Blade Records. A second album, Old Scars, New Wounds, follows in 2017.
