abode

abode is a hardcore and death metal band formed in Bergen, Norway in September 2010. The band enters the studio for the first time in January 2011 to record demo tracks, then plays regularly in the Bergen area at venues including Kvarteret, Hulen and Garage.

The group also appears at John Dee in Oslo, Folken in Stavanger, Ladehammerfestivalen in Trondheim and Fjellparkfestivalen in Flekkefjord. The act is associated with groove metal and trash metal groove.

The name also refers to a separate singer-songwriter project from Canada that begins releasing music in 1999. That project describes its music as hush folk, mainly acoustic with some overdubs, and says it has around 50 songs available.
