A-Plus

A-Plus is the stage name of Adam Carter, an American rapper and producer born in 1974. He is one of the four founding members of Souls of Mischief, the Oakland, California-based underground hip hop group, and he is also part of the eight-person alternative hip hop collective Hieroglyphics.

He contributes to all four Souls of Mischief albums and to the two Hieroglyphics studio albums. He also produces and performs on solo projects by various Hieroglyphics members.

He is associated with underground hip hop, West Coast rap and rap, and with the Hieroglyphics and Souls of Mischief circles in Oakland’s alternative hip hop scene.
