A Loss for Words
A Loss for Words is a band from Abington, near Boston, active from 1999 to 2015. The group works in melodic hardcore, pop punk, post-hardcore and screamo, and is identified in some descriptions as a Boston pop-punk outfit.
Career
The band releases three EPs and a full-length album, The Kids Can’t Lose, from 2005 onwards. It develops a reputation for hard touring and a strong DIY approach, spending much of the year on the road, playing shows, promoting other bands and handling its own record sales. It tours with Four Year Strong, Set Your Goals and Polar Bear Club, and is also toured with Four Year Strong, Set Your Goals and Polar Bear Club. Members of Bayside, Four Year Strong and Bane describe it as one of the hardest-working bands around.
The group sells 6,000 copies of one record without outside help and takes that release to Japan on a fully DIY basis. Its live performances are described as intense and direct, with an emphasis on personal contact with audiences.
