7Seconds

7Seconds are a punk band from Reno, United States. They form in 1980 and are associated with hardcore punk, punk rock and straight edge, with punk listed as their genre. The group is built around the Marvelli brothers, Kevin Seconds and Steve Youth, who form the band with the Borghino brothers, Tom Munist and Dim Menace.

History

7Seconds start on 17 January 1980. In 1981, Tom Munist and Dim Menace leave to form Section 8. Kevin Seconds, Steve Youth and drummer Troy Mowat, who joins in 1982, then remain the core of the group for much of the next 26 years, while different guitarists pass through the line-up.

The group includes Kevin Seconds, Steve Youth, Bobby Adams, Troy Mowat and Josef Bansuelo.

Later activity

In 2018, Kevin Seconds says the band is breaking up because of medical and personal issues affecting Steve and Troy. The group later resumes touring in 2022.
