52 Commercial Road

52 Commercial Road are a UK post-rock and ambient instrumental group formed in late 2003, when the members are seventeen years old. The band develops a post-rock style built around fragile, emotive soundscapes and gradual crescendos rather than straightforward loud-quiet dynamics.

They are known for involvement in a range of London projects focused on reusing derelict and empty spaces, including benefit nights, art exhibitions and squat parties. Their self-released debut album sells hundreds of copies and is also made available as a free download. A follow-up EP is set to appear on the South London label A Future Without.
