4Arm

4Arm is a Melbourne groove metal and thrash metal band. Their sound draws on influences including Machine Head, Metallica and Testament. The band forms in 2004 and builds a reputation for aggressive, high-energy performances.

Releases

The band releases its debut full-length album, 13 Scars, in 2005. The record leads to a nomination in the top five metal bands category at the 2006 Music Oz Awards and helps the band gain regular airplay on metal-oriented radio stations.

In 2009, 4Arm records its second album, The Empires Of Death, which develops the songwriting approach of the debut and further establishes the band’s profile. The album is followed by endorsements and sponsorships including Randall Amplifiers, Mesa Engineering, ESP Guitars, Dean Markley strings, Ahead Drumsticks, Tama Drums, Ibanez guitars, Rockstar Energy Drinks and ED Stone clothing.

The band later records its third full-length album, Submission for Liberty, with Matt Hyde handling the mix. The album contains 10 songs and is described through its musical features as a thrash release built around energetic arrangements, choruses, drums and riffs.

Live activity

4Arm tours Australia as a headline act on the Crush the Empire Tour in 2010. In the same period, the band also supports Testament on the Australian leg of The Damnation Tour.
