3Teeth
3Teeth is an industrial metal group from Los Angeles, active since 2013. The band’s sound sits across industrial rock, industrial metal, electro-industrial, EBM and alternative metal, with heavy metal also listed among its genres. It draws on Front Line Assembly, Tool and Ministry, and its music is described in terms of 1990s Wax Trax-style EBM and a harsh industrial approach associated with Nine Inch Nails and early KMFDM.
Albums and releases
The band’s self-titled debut album appears in 2014 on Artoffact Records. Later that year it issues REMIXED, a remix release built from material on the debut and featuring contributions from artists including Aesthetic Perfection, ∆AIMON and Caustic. Its second album, Shutdown.ɘxe, follows in 2017 and is mixed by Sean Beavan, whose credits include work with Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson. Metawar arrives in 2019, again with Beavan involved, this time as mixer and producer. In 2023 the group releases EndEx.
Singles and collaborators
Before Metawar, 3Teeth releases the singles “American Landfill”, “EXXXIT”, “Affluenza”, “President X.” and a version of “Pumped Up Kicks”, originally by Foster the People. Sean Beavan’s role on the band’s records links 3Teeth to a production lineage that includes major industrial and alternative metal acts.
Line-up
The group includes Alexis Mincolla, Xavier Swafford, Andrew Means and Chase Brawner. Nick Rossi joins on drums in 2020, replacing Justin Hanson.
