2charm

2charm is an Australian electronic group made up of Tim Nelson and Sam Netterfield. The duo is based in Brisbane and works across a sound that is described as indie house, techno, sleaze, dubstep, baile and g00ner pop.

Debut album

The group’s debut album, star scum city, is a nine-track release that places 2charm within Australia’s underground dance-pop scene. The record is described as the first “gooner pop” album, and it follows star-crossed footy boys as they move through queer love, lust and liberation on European dancefloors.

Sound and influences

2charm’s music draws on the energy of club culture and combines erotic, euphoric pop with electronic production. The album’s sound is linked to Britney Spears’ Blackout period, alongside the sleaze of deadmau5, SOPHIE, Skrillex and Zedd. The result is presented as sweaty, neon-lit and geared toward dancefloor excess.
