1990s

1990s are a Glasgow indie rock group active from 2004 to 2013. The line-up includes Jackie McKeown, Michael McGaughrin, Dino Bardot and Jamie McMorrow. Their sound is classified as indie rock and post-punk revival.

Background

The band forms in Glasgow and signs to Rough Trade. Jackie McKeown is a guitarist and vocalist in the group and is also one of the founding members of the earlier Glasgow band the Yummy Fur. Michael McGaughrin, who plays drums and sings, and bassist and vocalist Dino Bardot both come from another Glasgow group, V-Twin.

Albums

The band releases three albums. Their debut album, Cookies, appears in 2007, followed by Kicks in 2009. Their third album, Nude Restaurant, is recorded in 2011 and later released in 2022.
