SGP - The best festival I have ever been to!

Secret Garden Party

Secret Garden Party's 10th Birthday was quite simply the most wonderful festival I have ever been to!

For me it brings together and celebrates all the best of what it means to be human and alive: beauty, creativity, pleasure, curiosity and laughter with the people we love and friends we haven't yet made, all set in a stunning landscape.

There are not words to describe how magical it was. It was beyond all your wildest imaginings of mediaeval fayres, fairy tale quests, dungeons and dragons and willo the wisps. It was your hazy childhood memories of bonfire nights, Christmas lights, fairground rides and circus heights all brought back to life in a blur of laughter and carousing. It was a weekend where everyone was so beautiful just because they were all so happy and wearing whatever imaginative insanity made them smile.

I did manage to see loads of amazing live music, bands, artists and DJ's too, enough to fill my boots, my big muddy welly boots. But Secret Garden Party is about the festival experience, it doesn't really matter who is playing. No detail has been forgotten and nothing could spoil it, certainly not a LITTLE bit of mud. (Not even a slimy sea of treacle like sludge stretching as far as the eye could see could spoil it.)

So if you love festivals and and having fun in beautiful surroundings with thousands of other people who like the same thing, and you have not been to Secret Garden Party - why haven't you been? You are missing out! So get a ticket early before they all sell out, they will sell out, they always do and deservedly so!
