JAY Z AND KANYE WEST’s ‘NO CHURCH IN THE WILD’, FEATURING ROXY MUSIC’s PHIL MANZANERA, IS THE SOUNDTRACK FOR THE GREAT GATSBY TRAILER.

The soundtrack for The Great Gatsby trailer, Baz Luhrmann’s next film,  is ‘No Church In The Wild’, one of the standout tracks on Jay Z and Kanye West’s new album and featuring the driving, powerful guitar riff of Roxy Music’s Phil Manzanera.

The film trailer was released on Tuesday, as was the dynamic new video for ‘No Church In The Wild’, shot in Prague.  The track has also been used in ‘Safe House’, the film starring Denzel Washington.

Phil Manzanera:
“It’s been great that ‘No Church in the Wild’ has taken on a life of its own and has resonated with fans and filmmakers.  It’s a project that keeps surprising me…firstly that Jay Z and Kanye West discovered my riff written in 1976, and secondly its wide appeal, from the 1920’s setting of The Great Gatsby, to the new video’s scenes of modern day civil unrest.”
