Colours Presents Above and Beyond

Colours are very proud to present the return of the biggest trio in trance, Above&Beyond. Playing The Arches, Glasgow on April 2nd.

Colours are very proud to present the return of the biggest trio in trance; Above&Beyond. After their simply stunning headline performance at Coloursfest 2010, the guys are back for their first Scottish club show in over 2 years. Currently fifth in the DJ Magazine annual poll, the highest-placed Brits in the last year alone, they have sound-tracked the unveiling of a new spaceship, performed an acoustic show in a hot air balloon, and entranced a crowd of 8,000 in Beirut with their first full live show. For the world’s most famous trance trio, there are no limits. They won over thousands more fans as they rocked the main stage at Coloursfest 2010, so if you were one of those people then don’t miss out on the chance to see them once more in Scotland’s number one venue.

The trio are experienced musicians who know their way around a studio. Tony McGuinness was marketing director for Warner Brothers Records – but for years previously was the guitarist/songwriter of cult indie band Sad Lovers & Giants. Asked to organize a remix of Chakra’s ‘Home’ in 2000, he joined together with Jono Grant and Paavo Siljamaki - and Above & Beyond was born. “By coincidence we ended up three individuals with complimentary and different talents into the mix,” says Tony. Arch 2 will be hosted by Dance Anthems, bringing Glasgow favourites Dave Pearce & Tall Paul, two of the scenes most legendary DJs, who between them have racked up more club appearances than most DJs of the past 15 years. Dave Pearce was the leading authority on trance music on BBC Radio 1 for over 10 years and has been responsible for some of the greatest moments at Coloursfest over the years as he takes to the Outdoor Stage every year. Tall Paul is the founding DJ of legendary London nightclub ‘Turnmills’ whose Friday night entitled ‘The Gallery’ is now part of the Ministry of Sound line up. Expect nothing but massive dance & trance anthems for these two legends of dance!

This is guaranteed to be a night that dreams are made of if you’re a fan of electronic music, so get involved!

Venue: The Arches, Glasgow on April 2nd.
