Shrek, Musical

Dissolve into laughter and get ready for a tremendous party finish with the ever-so-catchy number ‘I’m A Believer’ blasting out!

The dearest make-believe DreamWorks motion picture that is Shrek, switches from being on the big screen to make its even BIGGER appearance on stage again, as a lively musical this year.

Moving on from a phenomenal stint in London’s West End, the show is on its way to a venue close to you as it embarks on its first nationwide tour.

Along with wanting to keep a roof over his own head, the once-grumpy green ogre Shrek, is desperate to send the storybook identities crowded outside of his swamp back to their own homes too - due to being evicted by the unkind actions of Lord Farquaad.

In order to regain control of his once-tranquil existence on his swamp, Lord Farquaad instructs that Shrek must take on a life-changing quest to rescue Princess Fiona for the dishonest man to marry.

Unlike the blockbuster film, this entire performance gives you the open opportunity to physically meet the delightful personalities of Donkey, Princess Fiona and Dragon, as well as an assortment of Fairytale characters, the cunning Lord Farquaad, and of course - Shrek.

Dissolve into laughter and get ready for a tremendous party finish with the ever-so-catchy number ‘I’m A Believer’ blasting out - All before Shrek faces unpredicted battles, forms the unlikeliest of friendships, and finds unimaginable romance.

With a polished cast, plus a creative team that includes ex-Eastenders and theatre-established actor Nigel Harman, you will be in joyful spirits long after leaving the venue.

Shrek The Musical will be shown at The Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury from Wednesday 11th February 2015 – Sunday 1st March 2015.
