Eastern Electrics Festival

Eastern Electrics Festival 2012 lands in London's Docklands at an exciting and game-changing new festival site. Same brands; same artists; same hours – in a brand new space!

Area 12 is just five minutes’ walk from North Greenwich tube and the O2 complex. Set in its own grounds, it has a huge main stage and the same four great tents of thrilling underground electronic music from Eastern Electrics and its favourite genre-defining brands. And Area 12 has a unique approach to delivering the next generation, crystal clear sound Eastern Electrics has defined as a core part of its identity. Built around a huge man-made structure with shipping containers at its core Area 12 is able to secure the sort of sound rarely experienced on an urban site.

Eastern Electrics Festival was thrilled to discover about Area 12 through some friendly venue operators as it met with the demand from our core audience to put on the festival a little closer to its traditional East London heartlands without any compromise in our programme of next generation acts and brands.

The space is a fenced outdoor storage area and overfill car park, which will be transformed into London's latest, innovative festival site. Area 12 is the last undeveloped site on the Greenwich Peninsula, an area made famous by the O2 Complex and the new Emirates Cable Car, which will transport people across the Thames from the Autumn of 2012.

Area 12 also has a jaw dropping VIP area with enviable views and access to the Main Arena and unbeatable facilities including bars, food outlets and luxury toilets.

Eastern Electrics Festival at Area 12 has a capacity of 10,000, as governed by Olympic restrictions on the movement of people, while people are visiting Olympic events. Eastern Electrics 0408 will have an 18+ Age Restriction.

Having launched in August 2008, Eastern Electrics has since hosted three block-rocking events each year. The brainchild of two of London’s most prolific and talented club personalities – mulletover promoter and pub owner Rob Star and FOUND and Hidden man Will Paterson, Eastern Electrics is renowned for high production levels and massive genre-busting lineups.

After four years of innovative lineups, collaborative promotion and rammed events, it was only a matter of time before Eastern Electrics looked forward to their next step, taking the party up a level, with an event that looks set to surpass everything that’s come before it.  Expect this to be London’s best summer party!
