Field Day 2017 announce an incredible list of names to play East London's Victoria Park next summer including Death Grips, Flying Lotus, Jon Hopkins dnd more

Flying Lotus needs little introduction. Whilst his own unrivalled cosmic creations cement his place as one of the world's leading producers, the Brainfeeder label boss has also released the likes of celebrated artists Thundercat, Kamasi Washington and DJ Paypal in the past year alone. Now preparing to grace Field Day this year expect an otherworldly showcase bringing brand new sounds. Meanwhile an exclusive London appearance from Berlin's Moderat plus electronic mainstay Nicolas Jaar's only live UK performance of the year, not to mention performances from revolutionary duo Death Grips and rising prodigy Mura Masa reinforce what’s fast becoming the most exciting edition of the festival yet.

Also joining Field Day 2017’s esteemed lineup are synth specialists S U R V I V E, catapulting to worldwide fame this year with their critically acclaimed score for Stranger Things. Field Day revellers will also bear witness to world music's legendary icon King Sunny Ade, a unique talent with artistry that never fails to inspire, whilst Whitney, Methyl Ethel, Kevin Morby, HAELOS, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard,Julia Jacklin, Áine Cahill, Imarhan and Flamingods will further provide a masterclass in diverse, far-ranging sounds.

Committed to placing boundary pushing music at the forefront, Field Day’s electronic line up flourishes once more with a list of names that include formidable pioneers Silver Apples, Moodymann, Gaika, Forest Swords, Fatima Yamaha (live), Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Omar Souleyman and more. DJ sets come courtesy of lauded producer Jon Hopkins, whilst other highlights set to take to the decks at this year’s festival include Midland, Nina Kraviz, Marcel Dettmann, Lena Willikens, Hunee, Jon Jobse and more.

The announcement follows the incredible news that Aphex Twin will be headlining Field Day's brand new second indoor main stage arena “The Barn” on Saturday night for a UK festival exclusive, playing an exclusive two hour set in a gigantic hanger-like construction with a state of the art high-powered sound system and one of the most technologically advanced lighting rigs around. Big enough to rival the main stage, "The Barn" will be an unmissable spectacle.

Now in it's 11th year, Field Day has consistently proved itself to be one of the leading festivals the UK has to offer. Exceptional programming over the years have seen the best in upcoming and legendary acts such as PJ Harvey, Caribou, Skepta, Patti Smith and Pixies grace the Victoria Park stages and Field Day 2017 is set to surpass expectations once again, with many more artists to be announced.
