Simian Mobile Disco

Boardmasters have pulled out all the stops for 2013 with a stellar array of over 70 artists confirmed for what is shaping up to be the festival of the summer.

With more acts yet to be announced they add to this spectacular showcase with their latest offering who will join the likes of Ben Howard, Basement Jaxx, Tom Odell, Everything Everything and Grandmaster Flash for the newly extended 3 day event in August.

New additions include electronic pioneers Simian Mobile Disco, veterans of an ever evolving scene with their 2013 album offering ‘Live’ the latest in a career that has spanned the best part of a decade and enchanted dancefloors all over the world.

Joining this phenomenal line up at the almighty Watergate Bay will be North London duo Man Like Me. Dominating dance floors from Dalston to LA, Man Like Me will be filling the Main Stage with their brazen lyrics and ska, grime, garage and indie blend sound.

Firmly securing its ethos of supporting emerging talent Boardmasters also announces UK Bassline breakthrough artist XXXY. With a feature on the seminal Fabric compilation ‘Elevator Music’ XXXY has been earning himself quite a reputation on the underground scene dismantling dancefloors with his milestones of swell bass and crisp Chicago house vocals.

Taking to the picturesque View Stage will be acoustic wonder Josh Record. With breath-taking sunsets and a backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean, the View stage is arguably one of the most beautiful stages on the world festival circuit, a perfect fitting with Josh Record’s seductive melodies.

The announcements don’t stop there with Dinosaur Pile Up, Crowns, Dark Horses, I Am Giant, Gnarwolves, Bloody Knees, Steve Smyth, The Sea Young Aviators, Rat Attack, Bad Channels and Remember December also added to the bill giving the more hardened rock fan something to get their head banging fix.

At the Fistral Beach Bar, music, beach and festival lovers can gather to hear the harmonious sounds of The Lake Poets and Steve Smyth at the sell out Beach Sessions gigs in addition to greatly anticipated headliners The 1975 and Benjamin Francis Leftwich. Enjoy their heartfelt and acoustic songs whilst taking in the relaxed beachside atmosphere and striking skyline.

With the line up almost complete, Boardmasters is set to be a truly memorable and colossal weekend and with tickets selling out in record time it truly is a case of miss it and miss out...
