The Acoustic Festival of Britain

The Acoustic festival is one of the early events in the music calendar each year, only a few
weeks away now. Held in the centre course of this old’ world racecourse of rolling green
hills, lawns and woods. The campsite is top draw, yes the caravan and camping club are in
the centre course, the event fields have hookups for caravan and campervans and tents are
given a spacious area with cars parked next to the tent. Some hot showers and flushing loos, the campsite has solar lighting throughout, plus a glamping village that is cheaper than the
local b n b prices! Good stuff eh?
We’ll add on the grooming portacabin, the free open fired barn to ‘keep warm featuring the
open mic sessions, all within the camping fields. Children are well catered for, all the thrills
of learning, trampolines, swing boats, walkabouts, and a storytelling tipi plus Free face
paints and body painting from the UK champions.
It’s a great relaxing festival getaway, no mass crowds or dirty litter showered grass, plus
prices are capped and the food tents have seating, the event site can boast to be the
cleanest. Enjoyable, safe and cost-effective.
This precious ‘cosy event highlights the best in rising musicians amongst the wealth of well-
travelled and respected folk, rock, reggae, blues and country acts of yesteryear, see acts
such as Whitesnake founder and axeman, anthemic songwriter Bernie Marsden and his All
Star band on Saturday evening plus songwriter Chris Difford of Squeeze, following the
Friday headline act RnB worldwide chart-topper Eagle Eye Cherry, who is playing the rare UK
festival date. Then Sunday sees Scottish foot-stomping rockers Big Country bringing the
weekend to a close with a very rare un-plugged appearance at 8 pm, following an afternoon
of dance with Grammy-winning Ska and 2-tones collective of King Hammond and his Ska
Mafia.
With an already envious pedigree of musicians the festival has also spread into the
comedy world each afternoon dedicated to all that is ‘
witty and comedic acts.

In the evening the tent switches into the Blues Tent, featuring great acts such as
award-winning Kyla Brox and Trevor Babajack Steger until midnight.

The 2nd stage, a more intimate venue
featuring 6 acts daily, with the likes of 3Daft Monkeys, Gaz Brookfield, Gordon Haskell, and
gritty blues from the USA from Swamp Candy and an unplugged performance from
Fleetwood Bac. Whist other features adult music and dance workshops throughout the day,
then 4 upcoming youthful acts each evening, finishing off with the danceable Latin Salsa 9
piece Swanvesta Social Club. An amazing low budget priced ticket for a special weekend
away.
