Notting Hill Carnival is a street-based cultural carnival across Notting Hill and North Kensington, with over 1,000,000 visitors across the August bank holiday weekend.
Its programme is built around parade culture, static sound systems rooted in Jamaican sound system culture, steel band competition, live stages, street trading and food stalls.
Sunday is framed as Children’s/Family Day and Monday as Adults Day, giving the weekend separate family and adult programme identities.
