The Newark Blues Festival has been organised and staged by a group of enthusiastic volunteer musicians and enthusiasts since 2009. It has taken place every year since 2009, with a break in 2014 and offers up a range of national blues artists for festival goers to enjoy. Established local bands are welcome as well as national names and 35 acts or more play each year at Newark Castle Gardens as well as venues around the town.
