Folk Weekend Oxford was started by local folk fans when Oxford Folk Festival was cancelled.  Based in the newly refurbished Old Fire Station on George Street, Folk Weekend returns for its third outing from Friday 19th until Sunday 21st April 2013.

The festival promises a weekend of concerts and performances Morris dancing, a host of free song and music events, and a huge ceilidh around various venues around Oxford.  Oxford resident and Folk Weekend patron Jackie Oates will headline the festival, along with The Ship Band, The Melrose Quartet, Bryony Griffith and Will Hampson, Jen Ord as many others.  The festival is keen to showcase new talent as well, so expect some surprises!
