Festival on the Moor has been providing the locals of North Yorkshire with fine folk music since 2008. It began as the Ryedale Folk Festival but has since changed its name and currently is held in Botton Village.
Festival on the Moor celebrates the culture surrounding traditional folk music including singarounds, concerts, sessions and workshops as well as live music throughout. Over 100 performances are enjoyed each year and internationally renowned folk artists fly in to ensure they get their spot. Festival on the Moor is a celebration of all kinds of folk and blues from contemporary folk to Delta Blues.
The festival also ensures there is something for visitors of all ages with children’s entertainment, traditional dance, reenactors, ceilidh and much more. Festival food is provided and many of the artists bring their merchandise along to be enjoyed.
