Chippenham Folk Festival

A famous, national festival which showcases the best of folk music, dance and song, the Chippenham Folk Festival is steeped in English tradition and hugely popular. Since its launch in 1972, it has a unique and quintessentially English village atmosphere and turns the whole of Chippenham into one giant party.

The main ceilidh and live music concerts are arranged in the park by the river whilst almost all venues in the town are hosting at least one event. There are over 200 events across the festival and yet it still has a welcoming and intimate village feel.

Over the years the Chippenham Folk Festival has enjoyed live music from world-renowned folk musicians and bands, including Ed Rennie, Eddy Johns, Flossie Malavaille, George Papavgeris, Hanging Johnny, INU and Jack Crawford.

As well as music there are craft stalls, fairs and events designed for families and children.
