TYR

TYR is the name of several different acts, including a progressive metal band from Málaga, Spain, formed in 1994. That band releases its debut album, Tyr, in 2001 and follows it with Hipokrisia in 2006. It is signed to Mox Records and includes Yiyi on vocals, Fran Benítez and Jon Zágalaz on guitars, J. “Goos” Guzmán on bass, Carlos “Txarly” Núñez on drums, and Hugo Martín on keyboards.

The name also belongs to an amateur artist from Iceland who uploads drum and bass and electronica tracks to the music community portal ctgmusic.com from 2005 onwards, with around nine songs available. Other acts called Tyr include a Finnish black metal band that releases one demo in 2005, a Swedish RAC band, and a Norwegian rapper formerly known as Wonder the Boy.
