Treefight For Sunlight
Treefight For Sunlight is a Danish indie pop group from Copenhagen, formed in 2007. The group’s line-up consists of Mathias Sørensen on drums and vocals, Morten Winther Nielsen on guitar and vocals, Christian Rohde Lindinger on bass and vocals, and Niels Kirk on piano and vocals.
Style and sound
The band is associated with piano-led melodies, chamber pop, and a blend of folk and psychedelic influences. Its songs also use upbeat and sometimes nonsensical lyrics. Their music is described as orchestral and complex, while still drawing on a cheerful, uncomplicated surface and a mildly psychedelic quality.
Recordings and release history
The group’s first album appears under the original Danish title A Collection of Vibrations for Your Skull. In the United States, it is released on 8 November 2011. The band is produced by Tambourhinoceros in Denmark, Bella Union in the United Kingdom, and Friendly Fire Recordings in the United States.
