The Twang
The Twang are a UK indie rock band from Birmingham, active since 2004. The group is made up of Phil Etheridge, Jon Watkin, Martin Saunders, Stu Hartland, Matty Clinton and Alex Godfrey. They are described as a rock and indie act.
Background
The band forms in Birmingham and gathers national attention after an article in NME on West Midlands acts, alongside Ripchord and The Enemy. Their line-up includes Etheridge on vocals and guitar, Watkin on bass, Saunders on vocals, Hartland on guitar, Clinton on drums and Godfrey as an additional member.
Releases
The Twang release four studio albums: Love It When I Feel Like This (2007), Jewellery Quarter (2009), 10:20 (2012) and Neontwang (2014). Their debut single, Wide Awake, appears in 2007. Love It When I Feel Like This is produced by Gavin Monaghan and reaches number 3 in the UK albums chart. Jewellery Quarter is produced by Neil Claxton of Mint Royale at Blueprint Studios in Salford and reaches number 20 in the UK albums chart.
