Oompah Brass

Oompah Brass is a German group that begins as a traditional oompah band before shifting into a repertoire of well-known pop songs arranged with a Bavarian feel. The act develops from a more conventional approach to German waltzes, polkas and marches, then moves towards singalong material and what it describes as “Oompop”.

Style and repertoire

The group works in a Bavarian pop style, combining brass-band presentation with familiar popular songs. Its set includes arrangements of classic pop tracks rather than only traditional German band music.

Performances and activity

Oompah Brass performs across Europe and appears at large events and festival settings. It plays to crowds of around 60,000 at the Belgrade Beer Festival and performs in Germany and Austria, including at Snowbombing in the Alps. The group also appears regularly at the Octoberfest Pub in Fulham.
