Minas
Minas is a Brazilian jazz group from Winston-Salem, United States, active since 1978. The core members are Orlando Haddad and Patricia King.
Background
The group forms in 1978, when Haddad and King are students at the North Carolina School of the Arts. Their music combines Brazilian traditions such as samba, bossa nova, baião and axé with American jazz, blues and folk, alongside classical music.
