Mandala

Mandala is a German acid trance and trance duo made up of Raymund Beyer and Tom Weyer. The pair also appear as Commander Tom, and Mandala is one of their aliases. The project is based in Germany and operates as a duo.

Releases on Noom Records

Under the Mandala name, Beyer and Weyer release three EPs on Noom Records between 1993 and 1995: High Noom EP, Australia EP and Remixperience EP. These recordings place the project in the mid-1990s acid trance scene.

Style and context

The act is associated with trance and acid trance, and is also tagged with hard trance, new age, raga and meditative music. The wider name is used by several unrelated artists, but this Mandala refers to the German trance and techno duo Tom Weyer and Raymond Beyer.
