Kismet

Kismet is an Australian-based Macedonian industrial group that performs dark wave and is active from 1993 to 2000. The group releases four CDs in that period, including two albums issued on Tone Casualties, a label owned by Gabor Csupo of Klasky Csupo, the company behind cartoons such as Rugrats and The Wild Thornberries.

Style and recordings

The group is known for combining industrial beats, gothic atmospheres and Macedonian folk elements. Its sound brings together darkwave textures with folk flourishes, giving the music a distinctive cross between electronic and traditional influences.
