Gancher & Ruin

Gancher & Ruin are a Russian drum and bass, neurofunk, hardcore and crossbreed group made up of identical twin brothers Алексей Гончаренко and Дмитрий Гончаренко. They begin developing an interest in electronic music in late 2003, and by 2007 they start releasing their own productions.

Style and influences

Their sound combines fast breakbeats, four-to-the-floor kick drums and complex arrangements. Their approach is influenced by producers including Technical Itch, The Panacea, Evol Intent, Cooh, Audio and Dylan. They are also associated with helping bring crossbreed to a wider audience.

Performance and scene work

The duo is known for a striking live presence and strong stage energy, and they perform regularly across Europe. They have worked in the industry since the age of 16. They are residents of Therapy Sessions and Prspct, and they also promote both events in St Petersburg.
