Dorey The Wise is a four-piece indie group from Hastings, in East Sussex, active since 2011. Their music mixes original pop and post-punk songs with some more acoustic material.

Releases and radio play

The group’s debut EP appears in 2013 and brings them radio play as well as a live session on BBC Introducing. They then release a debut single, Give It All Away, which features on Tom Robinson’s Mixtape on BBC 6 Music and on Dermot O’Leary’s BBC Radio 2 programme. Their second four-track EP follows in 2014 and shows a move towards a fuller sound, while keeping the same youthful energy, lyrical sensitivity and humour.

Live activity

By 2014, the band also gains support from DJs across Europe and the US and secures festival and support slots with Example, Scouting for Girls, Tom Williams and the Boat, and the Hoosiers.
