China Rats

China Rats are a British punk rock group active since 2011. Their sound is rooted in punk rock and classic British guitar bands, with a style that combines energetic playing with self-deprecating, tongue-in-cheek lyrics about young adult frustration and everyday absurdities.

Activity and releases

The band releases the Don't Play With Fire EP and also plans a new single for February 2013. They play headline shows as well as festival dates, including sets at Reading and their hometown festival in Leeds. They also head out on their first headline tour in October, which includes their first London headline show at Sebright Arms.

Reception and live profile

China Rats build a reputation through live performances, with a sold-out hometown show and festival bookings stretching from Texas to the Mediterranean.
