On Saturday 6 June 2026, Poynton Party in the Park returns to Poynton Park in Cheshire for a lively open-air festival featuring live music, family activities, and a strong community spirit.

By car: Poynton Park is easily reached via the A6 road, which passes through Poynton and connects to the Manchester ring road (M60). The festival site is signposted, and free on-site parking is available in the main car parks off South Park Drive and Anglesey Drive. Traffic can be heavy on event day, so plan to arrive early or carpool when possible.

Public transport: Poynton's local train station (Northern Trains) lies on the Manchester-Macclesfield line. Services run regularly to Manchester Piccadilly (about a 25-30 minute journey) and to Stockport from Poynton. The station is a short taxi or bus ride (or about a 15-minute walk) from Poynton Park. By air: The nearest major airport is Manchester (about 15 miles away). From Manchester Airport, visitors can drive or take public transit into the city; one option is to ride the train or Metrolink into Manchester Piccadilly and then catch a train toward Poynton. Other airports like Liverpool or Birmingham could be used, but they typically require connecting through Manchester or Stockport by train or car. In any case, allow extra travel time to reach Poynton.
