The Blackdown Beer and Music Festival was created back in 1996 in direct response to budget cuts of a music teacher at a local primary school. Each year the festival has become more and more successful and it gave substantial grants to schools and community groups in the Blackdowns because we believed that everyone regardless of their ability, age or experience should have the chance to enjoy making music.

Hundreds of people every year find themselves making music in bands or as solo artists and the festival has helped to establish many of them from Samba bands to salsa dancers.

Come along to listen to some new music and taste some local beer.
