SuperByte

Entirely unique and in a niche all of its own, SuperByte is a small festival which started in 2012. It celebrates micromusic and retro gaming at The Zoo in Manchester. It describes itself as the chiptune, retro gaming and 8 bit arts weekender and invites people from up and down the country to geek out and get involved.

This year’s SuperByte runs between 10th and 13th September for its fourth year in 2015. Many acts have confirmed their attendance including Circuit Bird, SIX128, Auracle, Nihilarc, Mykah, KeFF, HarleyLikesMusic, I Am Legendary Robot, Gasman, HIA, IAYD, DIY Destruction, Henry Homesweet (Essential Chip Mix DJ Set), Infotoxin, Oliotronix, CYMBA, .mpegasus, 2xAA, For Astronauts and Satellites, VJ Enterr and many more.

The event will also feature performances from international DJs, workshops, big screen gaming tournaments and free play areas. There will be a large gaming installation hosted by The Retro Computer Museum and there will be further retro gaming experiences in the surrounding areas including a retro gaming space at The Pub nearby.
