With the historic Georgian harbour town of Maryport as its home, the Maryport Blues Festival is known for its diverse and far reaching programme which includes examples of the finest British and American blues acts, as well as attracting some of the biggest names of early British blues.

The venues selected follow a trail down a hillside which overlooks the picturesque town harbour.

In 2015, Maryport Blues Festival is back for a 17th time from 24th until 26th July. The main marquee is based up at Maryport Rugby Club and organisers are also hoping to put up an outdoor stage near the centre of town. Acts already confirmed for the line up include Lulu, Sandi Thom, The Boom Band, The Brew, Rhythm Zoo, Vargas Blues Band, Matt Poss Band, Laura Holland Band, Lenny 'Fuzzy' Rankins, Brian Rawson Band, Kaz Hawkins & Her Band O' Men, with over 40 bands expected for the festival itself.

There will be a DJ room, visual arts area and workshops area as well as film and festival clubs and a programme of children’s events, to ensure all festival goers of all ages are kept happy. Stalls and a larger market festival bazaar are also planned.
