In Cider Festival is a warm, winter weekend retreat that brings together cider fans and music lovers in a fun, friendly setting. Held at the picturesque Sand Bay Holiday Village near Weston-super-Mare, the festival transforms a seaside resort into an indoor party space. Over three days, you’ll enjoy live music performances, lively entertainment and, of course, endless cider tasting – all inside cozy holiday chalets and heated halls, making it the perfect way to banish the winter blues.

Your ticket includes a comfortable chalet stay and delicious half-board meals, so you can simply relax and enjoy the festivities. Imagine digging into hearty pub-style dinners at the resort’s dining hall, then heading straight to a live band gig or joining a crowd sing-along in the main marquee. What really sets this festival apart is its friendly, communal vibe – whether you’re a seasoned cider connoisseur or just looking for a fun getaway with friends, you’ll feel right at home. And because everyone stays on site, late-night travel is a non-issue – just head back to your chalet for a cozy night’s sleep.

Apart from great music, the event features classic holiday camp fun. Bluecoat-style hosts run games, quizzes and impromptu performances, keeping spirits high and laughter rolling into the night. When it’s time to unwind, the lively bar area pours dozens of ciders on tap, from tangy dry scrumpies to sweet, fruit-infused blends. Local producers and craft makers often attend, so you can chat with them and learn how each unique cider is made – perfect for both aficionados and curious newcomers. It’s easy to strike up a conversation over a pint and maybe even make some lifelong friends along the way.

After dancing and sampling all night, you can relax in the resort’s leisure facilities. Take a soothing dip in the indoor heated swimming pool or unwind in the steam room before bed. By day, breathe in the fresh seaside air with a stroll along the beach or nearby coastal paths. Inside the holiday park, there’s always another live act, DJ set or activity around the corner – and because lodging and entertainment are all covered, you can focus entirely on enjoying yourself instead of chores.

In Cider Festival offers a truly unique experience: a blend of holiday-park comforts and full festival spirit. It’s a celebration of community, good cheer and, of course, great cider – all set against the backdrop of North Somerset’s winter coastline. So gather your friends, pack a cozy sweater, and get ready for a fun-packed weekend. We promise three days of warm memories, new friends and unforgettable drinks that might just become your new favorite tradition.

By car: Weston-super-Mare is easily reached via the M5 motorway. From the north (Manchester/Birmingham), take the M5 south to Junction 21 and follow the A370 to Weston and Sand Bay. From the south (Exeter/Gloucester), exit at the same junction. Road signage will guide you to Beach Road and the Sand Bay Holiday Village. On-site parking may be available for festival guests, but it's wise to check any parking arrangements with the organizers.

By train and coach: Weston-super-Mare station (in the town centre) is on the Bristol–Taunton line, with regular services from London (via Bristol), Cardiff and beyond. From the station, local buses or taxis can take you north to Sand Bay (about 5 miles). National Express coaches also serve Weston-super-Mare from cities across the UK. Local bus routes (such as the X5 and X6) connect the town centre with Sand Bay and nearby holiday resorts.

By air: The nearest major airport is Bristol Airport (BRS), roughly 35 km and a 40-minute drive away. From Bristol Airport you can take a direct bus or train (via Bristol Parkway station) to Weston-super-Mare. Cardiff Airport (CWL) is another option, about 80 km to the west. Both airports offer car hire and taxi services if you prefer to drive; otherwise, bus and train combinations can get you to Weston and onward to Sand Bay.

Accommodation tips: While the festival includes on-site chalets for attendees, Weston-super-Mare and nearby villages offer a variety of places to stay. You’ll find seaside hotels, cosy B&Bs and self-catering cottages in town or along the coast. It’s best to book early, as accommodation fills up quickly on event weekends. If you arrive early or stay later, take advantage of Weston’s many attractions (Grand Pier, museums, local pubs) and scenic coastal walks in the area.
