Homespun
Homespun was established in 2013 by a small, independent, not-for-profit group of promoters and creatives who thought it was about time Medway had a music festival that celebrates the wealth of musical talent on its doorstep. The plan was to mix emerging and established artists and welcome guest performers from outside of the area.
The festival is user friendly, a little bit different and welcoming to all comers – musicians and punters alike. The idea was simple; to bring a packed weekend of the best music we could find in our favourite places. It soon became evident that we had far too much good music and too many great venues for that, so it starts gently on a Wednesday and built up gradually to a huge, eclectic and rather special Saturday.
The formula is repeated again from Wednesday 22nd July until Saturday 25th July.
