What started a simple Latin carnival parade in 2008 has grown into the huge vibrant Brazilica Festival today. It has taken place every year since that first parade and the parade too remains central to the festival programme. It takes hold of Liverpool city centre and offers many different events in different venues across the city.
In 2015 Brazilica Festival is back with a vibrant programme guaranteed. There are no acts yet confirmed but we can be sure that the festival will celebrate Brazil’s vibrant, carnival culture and will include the annual Carnival Ball, Carnival Queen Competition, film screenings and art exhibitions. The parade takes place in the evening and brings together samba groups from around the world as well as Brazilian street bands.
