Magic Loungeabout Unveils its First Acts

Badly Drawn Boy, Human League, New Young Pony Club and more acts are confirmed to play The Magic Loungeabout festival 2011

Saturday’s headliners The Human League who's anticipated new album, Credo, drops in March on the seminal Wall of Sound label, take centre stage at The Magic Loungeabout.

New Young Pony Club cover funk and electronic pop, which is part Siouxsie Sioux, part LCD Soundsystem. Their first album was nominated for a Mercury Prize and their second has seen equal praise. The Telegraph said it was a cracking comeback and the NME said it was difficult to imagine a better pop album in 2010.
Young electro-pop pioneers Fenech Soler add further weight to our sensational Saturday as well as new sonic starlet Florrie, who is not only the face of Nina Ricci, but in house drummer for successful pop production Xenomania.

Sunday ushers to the main stage a true folk-pop legend, Badly Drawn Boy! With seven albums under his belt including the Mercury winning The Hour of the Bewilderbeast, he has racked up almost 15 years in the business, cultivating a unique take on music; an inspiring, alternative and beatific genius, BDB is a fitting headliner for Sunday.

More acts announced at The Magic Loungeabout are DJ's Graeme Park and Clint Boon, Florrie with more acts on the way. More on the line up here.

The all new Magic Loungebout Festival makes its return to the festival scene after a 2 year gap. At the new location of Broughton Hall, North Yorkshire over 3 days Magic Loungeabout will bring a stunning musical line up and a whole host of entertainment from a cinema to an inspiring speakers tent, grown up games areas, kids entertainment, art and more.
