Wildwood Festival invites you on a four-day adventure in the heart of the Cambridgeshire countryside. From 19th to 22nd June 2026, the Horseheath Racecourse in Linton will transform into a vibrant woodland playground. Wildwood isn’t a typical festival - it’s an intimate, independent gathering of friends and families under the trees. With around 2,000 people max, it has a close-knit, friendly vibe. Expect smiling faces and an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. Whether you're a longtime Wildwood fan or a first-time visitor, you’ll find the warm, inclusive spirit of this unique festival impossible to resist.

The heart of Wildwood is the music – an eclectic mix carefully curated to get you dancing day and night. A variety of lively stages are built right into the forest, complete with top-notch sound systems, lights and lasers. DJs and live bands spin everything from deep house and techno beats to funky world music, ensuring there’s always a reason to move. Dance under the trees by day, and as the stars come out, get lost in nighttime raves in the magical woodland groves. With multiple stages scattered along hidden paths, you’ll often stumble upon surprise performances and impromptu jam sessions.

Art installations and creative workshops add to Wildwood’s playful feel. Wander through the woods and discover colorful art pieces and interactive displays around every corner. Pop-up market stalls sell handmade crafts, festival fashion, and tasty global street food. You might spice up your day with a fresh smoothie, a sizzling barbecue burger, or a cold craft beer at the bar (outside alcohol isn’t permitted). Join in on any of the fun workshops and games – perhaps learn to mix beats in a DJ class or pick up belly-dancing moves. With so much to see and do, every moment at Wildwood holds a new surprise.

When you need to relax and recharge, Wildwood has plenty of wellness activities. Start mornings with yoga, sound baths, or guided breathwork out in the fresh air. Or treat yourself at the on-site spa village – take a soak in wood-fired hot tubs and sit in the portable sauna nestled among the pines, courtesy of The Wandering Wild Spa team. Find a quiet glade to stretch, meditate or just soak up the forest vibes. Later on, grab a blanket and lie back in a sunny meadow to watch the mind-blowing sunset. Whatever your pace, the festival invites you to make your own adventure in nature.

More than anything, Wildwood is about community and connection. The whole event is welcoming and family-friendly, so you might see children playing crafts while parents dance nearby. Everyone is encouraged to respect the environment – recycling and compost bins make it easy to leave no trace in the woods. When night falls, gather around bonfires or under dazzling laser lights with new friends in tow. The overall vibe is joyous and inclusive: people laugh, hug, and celebrate together. By the end of the weekend, you won’t just have great music memories in your head – you’ll feel like you’re part of the Wildwood family!

Reaching the festival by car is straightforward. The Horseheath Racecourse site is on Horncastle Road between Linton and Horseheath, just off the A1307. It’s about a 30-minute drive south from Cambridge (off the M11 motorway, north of London). When you’re nearing Linton, watch for event signs - satnavs can sometimes misdirect drivers to the north side of the highway, whereas the entrance is safely reachable via the south side (there’s a designated crossing). On arrival, ample festival parking is typically available for visitors.

If you prefer public transport, the closest major station is Cambridge. Trains run frequently to Cambridge from London (King’s Cross or Liverpool Street) and other cities. From Cambridge you can hop on a Stagecoach bus (Route 13 towards Haverhill) that stops in Linton village - the ride takes about 20-30 minutes. Alternatively, local taxis or ride-shares can get you to the site in around 20 minutes. Check the latest bus timetables: buses generally run hourly, especially during the day, but may be less frequent late in the evening.

For visitors flying in, London Stansted Airport is the nearest major airport (about 40 miles away). Stansted offers frequent trains and coaches to Cambridge, making it a convenient entry point. London Luton (about 50 miles) and London Heathrow (about 70 miles) are farther but have good coach links to Cambridge or central London. If you land at any London airport, the quickest route is often to take a train to Cambridge and then follow the guidance above. Whatever you choose, allow extra travel time, especially on busy summer weekends.

Once in the area, plan your accommodation. Camping on-site (for tents and camper-vans) is often included with festival tickets - be sure to book your camping pass early if that’s your style. If you’d rather not camp, the village of Linton has a couple of quaint B&Bs and inns. Many visitors instead stay in Cambridge, about 15-20 minutes away by car or bus, which offers everything from budget guesthouses to mid-range hotels. Nearby villages like Sawston or Great Chesterford may have country pubs with rooms. Wherever you stay, book as soon as possible - spaces fill up quickly for summer weekends.
