Lakefest 2026
Lakefest 2026 takes place from 5th to 9th August at Eastnor Deer Park near Ledbury, Herefordshire. Set against the backdrop of Eastnor Castle, this family-friendly festival offers live music, food, and activities in a relaxed countryside setting.
Music
Enjoy a diverse lineup across multiple stages, featuring rock, pop, folk, and dance music. Headline acts appear on the Main Stage, while smaller venues showcase local artists and surprise guests, creating a festival soundtrack for all tastes.
Family Activities
Lakefest is ideal for families, with an Adventure Zone offering circus workshops, art activities, and vintage fairground rides such as a ferris wheel and carousel. Additional entertainment includes comedy, storytelling, BMX stunts, and the "Road to Lakefest" band contest for unsigned artists.
Food & Drink
Sample a wide range of food from international street cuisine to Herefordshire specialties, including curries, wood-fired pizzas, and vegetarian options. Local craft ales, ciders, and cocktails complement sweet treats and coffee stands throughout the festival.
Camping
Camping is included with weekend tickets, with options for standard tents or glamping in bell tents and yurts. Facilities include showers, toilets, a camp shop, and on-site cafes, creating a welcoming camping community.
By car, Ledbury and Eastnor Deer Park are easily accessible. From the north or south, take the M5 motorway to junction 8 and join the M50 eastbound; exit at junction 2. Follow the A417 into Ledbury and continue around the bypass, then look for brown tourist signs to Eastnor Castle. At the castle roundabout, continue onto the A438 following signs for Lakefest. This will bring you directly to Eastnor Deer Park, where festival parking is available. The route is scenic but rural, so drive carefully and allow extra time for traffic on busy days.
By train, the closest station is Ledbury (just under 2 miles from Eastnor Deer Park). Direct services run from cities like London (Paddington) and frequent connections come via Worcester from Birmingham or Hereford. For example, a journey from London to Ledbury takes roughly 2.5 hours. (Great Malvern station, 8 miles away, is an alternative with services from London and Birmingham.) From Ledbury station it is a short taxi ride or pre-arranged shuttle to the festival; during busy times taxis can be in high demand, so reserving ahead is wise.
The nearest major airport is Birmingham (about 60–70 miles away). From Birmingham Airport you can rent a car and drive (via the M42/M50 route) or take a train into Birmingham New Street and change for Worcester/Ledbury. Bristol Airport (around 90 miles) and Cardiff Airport (slightly less by car) are farther options, requiring a longer drive or connecting train journey. Heathrow (roughly 3 hours by road) and Manchester (around 2.5 hours) are much further, so Birmingham tends to be the most convenient for international travel. Lakefest sometimes arranges coach transfers or ticket deals with travel operators, so check official sources for any available transportation packages.
By bus, Ledbury is served by routes linking nearby towns. For example, local services run between Ledbury and Hereford, and routes to Worcester or Ross-on-Wye exist on weekends. Note that rural bus schedules can be limited in the evenings, so verify timetables before you go. Some National Express coaches also stop in Ledbury. Local taxis or ride-share services can bridge the last mile, but these can be in high demand and costly on event days, so booking rides in advance is advised.
Regarding accommodation, camping at Lakefest is popular (standard camping is included with many tickets), but there are plenty of other options nearby. Ledbury town itself has charming B&Bs, guesthouses and small hotels within a few minutes' drive of the site. If those fill up, try Great Malvern (about 15 minutes away by car) or Ross-on-Wye (about 25 minutes) for larger hotels and inns. The surrounding countryside also offers self-catering cottages and caravan parks. Whatever you choose, book well in advance, as rooms and rentals sell out quickly for festival weekends.
