Eden Festival 2026
Taking place from 11-14 June 2026 at Raehill's Estate near Moffat, Dumfriesshire, Eden Festival is a four-day celebration of music, arts and community set in beautiful Scottish countryside.
Music
Eden Festival features a diverse lineup across multiple stages, including folk, indie, world and electronic music. From headline bands on the main stage to intimate acoustic sets and energetic DJ zones, there is something for every music fan.
Arts & Entertainment
The festival’s creative programme includes circus acts, comedy, cabaret and roaming street performers. Interactive workshops such as dance, drumming, crafts and forest skills add hands-on fun. Evening art installations, lantern-lit trails, movie screenings and silent discos create a magical atmosphere.
Family Activities
With a dedicated kids' area and family camping zone, Eden Festival offers craft workshops, storytelling, face-painting, giant games and circus skills classes tailored to children, ensuring fun for all ages.
Community & Sustainability
Organised by a local non-profit and run mainly by volunteers from Dumfries & Galloway, Eden Festival supports local artists, craftspeople and food vendors. It promotes eco-friendly practices like car-sharing and recycling, fostering a welcoming, homegrown atmosphere.
Glasgow and Edinburgh Airports are the closest international gateways to Moffat, each about a one-hour drive away. Both airports offer rental cars and have train or coach connections into Scotland. From Edinburgh or Glasgow, you can catch a train to Lockerbie (roughly 1 hour) or Dumfries; these are the nearest rail stations (about 12–15 miles from Moffat). From Lockerbie or Dumfries station, local taxis or coaches will take you on to Moffat or the festival. (For reference, trains from London to Lockerbie run directly in roughly 4 hours.)
By road, Moffat is easily reached via the M74 motorway. Drivers travelling north or south should exit at the Moffat junction (near Crawick) and then follow the A701 toward Dumfries. The festival site (Raehill's Estate) lies just off this road near St Ann's. The drive from Glasgow or Edinburgh takes roughly an hour, and about 40 minutes from Carlisle. Ample parking is normally available on-site (book a parking pass in advance if possible). Many local visitors car-share to reduce traffic and save costs, which is both eco-friendly and popular for this event.
Local bus routes connect Moffat with the surrounding towns. The Stagecoach X74 bus (Glasgow–Dumfries) and X101 bus (Edinburgh–Dumfries) both stop at Moffat's St Ann's, which is near the festival site. Schedules vary by day, so plan ahead by checking the operator's timetable. On festival weekend, Eden typically runs a shuttle between St Ann's and the entrance during busy periods. If you are travelling by long-distance coach, consider arriving at Lockerbie or Dumfries and then switching to a local service. Taxis are also available in Moffat for direct travel to Raehill's Estate.
Because Eden is held in the countryside, plan your accommodation early. On-site camping (for tents, campervans and trailers) is available right at the festival grounds. Those seeking indoor lodging can try the nearby town of Moffat (about 8 miles away), which offers a few cozy hotels, inns and B&Bs - but these fill up fast on festival weekends. Further out, Dumfries, Lockerbie or Carlisle have a wider range of hotels and guesthouses within a 30–45 minute drive. Holiday cottages and glamping sites in the region are also options. Whichever you choose, book well ahead and allow extra travel time - local roads can be narrow and winding.
