Eden Festival

Nestled in the rolling hills near the town of Moffat in Dumfriesshire, Eden Festival is a four-day celebration of music, arts and community. The 2026 edition (June 11-14) returns to the scenic Raehill's Estate with a vibrant lineup on multiple stages. From dawn to dusk, festival-goers will enjoy live music spanning many genres - folk, indie, world, electronic and more - alongside immersive arts and creative performances. The atmosphere is lively yet welcoming, with families and friends camping under starlit skies and making new memories. Eden's warm, family-oriented vibe and beautiful countryside setting make it a must-visit summer festival.

Eden's musical lineup spans dozens of acts across its many stages. The big main stage hosts headline bands and energetic group performances, while smaller tents and woodland areas offer everything from folk and acoustic sets to high-energy DJ and electronic music zones. Each stage has its own vibe: on one you might lounge to gentle acoustic tunes, and at another, upbeat pop or world rhythms will have you dancing under the lights. Around the site there are surprise mini-performances too - roaming circus acts, street buskers and a pop-up open-air cinema under the stars. Past editions have featured a wonderfully eclectic mix of local Scottish bands and international artists, ensuring that every music fan discovers something new.

The festival's creative side shines in its art and performance program. Under a circus big-top you might catch lively acrobats, clowns and street performers, while a comedy and cabaret tent keeps the laughs coming. Interactive workshops are scheduled throughout each day - from dance and drumming workshops to crafts and forest skills - giving visitors of all ages something hands-on to try. An artisan market and food village feature local craftspeople and cooks, adding a festive, community feel. As evening falls, glowing art installations and lantern-lit trails create a magical atmosphere for exploring, and movie screenings or silent discos keep the fun going under the stars.

Families and children are warmly welcomed at Eden Festival. A dedicated kids' area and family camping zone offer creative fun and safe spaces for younger attendees. Craft workshops, storytelling corners and face-painting keep little ones busy by day, along with giant games like a giant parachute and oversized board games. Even circus skills classes and drama or dance workshops tailored to kids are on the program. Parents often camp nearby so they can easily join in activities together. This multi-generational festival atmosphere means babies, teens and grandparents all find things to enjoy, making Eden feel like a big community picnic and playground at the same time.

At its heart, Eden Festival is a community celebration. Organized by a local non-profit arts group, it is largely created and run by volunteers (many of them young people from the Dumfries & Galloway area) so it has a homegrown, friendly feeling. Local acts, craftspeople and food vendors are a big part of the event, strengthening the community spirit. Eden also prides itself on being eco-friendly: car-sharing is encouraged and recycling facilities are provided to keep the grounds green.
