The Heartbreaks

The Heartbreaks are a UK rock group from Morecambe, formed in 2009. The band consists of Matthew Whitehouse on vocals, Joseph Kondras on drums, Ryan Wallace on guitar and Deaks on bass. They grow out of a shared background, with the members growing up together and connecting through common interests in Motown, bittersweet romance and the English seaside.

Career

They sign to the independent label Nusic Sounds and build an early profile through festival appearances and support tours with Hurts and Morrissey. Their debut album, Funtimes, is a 10-track set that includes the single Delay, Delay and the track Winter Gardens, which they make available as a free download. The album is produced by Tristan Ivemy, with additional production by Joe Cross and contributions from Edwyn Collins and Sebastian Lewsley on the track Remorseful.
